Jeff Bailey
Cloud RAN Systems Behaviour Developer, Ericsson
As a Master of Applied Science student at Carleton University, I have enjoyed the opportunity to participate in academic and industry-driven endeavours. The support of Carleton in combination with valuable contacts from Ericsson have provided the perfect platform to engage in fact-based discussion on important engineering topics.
I was able to tap into a wide network through the Carleton-Ericsson partnership which contributed directly to my current position at Ericsson as a Cloud RAN Systems Behaviour Developer.
I have primarily focused my efforts towards studying and understanding wireless communications technologies, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 5G. During my time at Carleton, I’ve realized the importance of these exciting technologies.
The courses I’ve taken, including the 5G course in collaboration with Ericsson, have been great resources to apply classroom theory into practice through the research I’ve conducted. Together, this combination of theory and practice became the foundation I needed to provide useful insight into the communications technology industry.
Although my academic journey has not quite ended, I’m extremely grateful for the experience. A special thank you to Professor Lambadaris for helping me along the way.
